  • How do Drop Off Dinners work?
    We write the final menu each week, from available local produce, and with regard to your own groups needs. In the sample menu you refer, both proteins are served with the range of sides. The food is delivered on platters and ready to share, with hot things delivered in oven proof glass dishes, and packed inside our black insulated boxes. If you keep the lid closed, the mains will stay perfectly hot for up to 3 hours, so there is no rush or fuss about the whole thing. All you need do is return our cleaned platter the following day or as arranged.
  • Which areas do you cater to?
    We cater in Daylesford and surrounding towns, further afield on request. Let us know your location and we can confirm availability.
  • What kind of events do you cater for?
    We cater for weddings, corporate events, birthday parties, wellness retreats, small group dinners and more! We can tailor a menu to suit any occasion.
  • Do you cater for outdoor events?
    Yes, we can cater for outdoor events, weather-permitting. We recommend having a backup plan in case of inclement weather.
  • What's your minimum order amount?
    Our minimum order amount varies depending on the type of event and the number of guests. Contact us for a specific quote!
  • How far in advance do I need to book?
    For weddings, we recommend booking 12 months in advance. For smaller gatherings, around 4 to 6 weeks’ notice, especially for weekends and peak seasons. We do tend to book out whole weekends well in advance from October to May.
  • Do you have a license and insurance?
    Yes, we are fully licensed and carry full liability insurance, for your peace of mind. All staff are also work covered and superannuated.
  • Do you have any sustainability practices?
    Indeed we do. Buying direct from farmers, we encourage closed loop packaging. Our purchasing policy is local organic, local, organic, conventional, in that order. All livestock should have a good life before their one bad day. Food scraps are composted on site and used to aid growth in our veggie beds. Constant attention is paid to waste and non compostable plastic use. We currently send up to one domestic rubbish bin to landfill every 2 weeks.
  • Can your menus be customised?
    Yes, we offer a variety of menus and can create custom packages to suit your preferences and budget.
  • Do you offer tastings?
    Yes, we do! We offer tastings at our function room. It’s a great opportunity to get to know you better and your vision for that special day.
  • Do you cater to dietary restrictions?
    Absolutely! We are well-versed in all types of restricted diets, and take these needs seriously. Whenever possible, we like to write sharing menus that include everybody.
  • Can I provide my own menu?
    Yes, it can be a lot of fun helping people realise their vision through the menu. Please bear in mind that we are genuine about supporting our local area farmers and the produce they grow in the season it grows in.
  • Do you offer children's menus?
    Though we like to think that kids are best served eating the same food as everyone else, we also have young ones of our own and know it can change from meal to meal! Happy children means happy parents, so we’re always open to working with you for a meal the kids will enjoy.
  • What kind of desserts do you offer?
    Pavlova bar? Cannoli tray? Fruit crumble and cream? We offer a variety of cakes and seasonal desserts, canape pieces and winter warmers to suit most tastes and budgets.
  • What happens to leftover food?
    We can discuss options for leftover food, such as providing disposable containers for guests to take home.
  • Do you provide staff for the event?
    We can offer wait staff, bartenders, and event coordinators to ensure your function runs smoothly.
  • Do you charge a delivery fee?
    Delivery fees may apply depending on your location and the size of your order.
  • What happens if there are any problems with the catering on the day?
    Please let us know immediately if you have any concerns, and we will do our best to rectify the situation.
  • Do you offer beverage packages?
    Yes, we offer a variety of beverage packages including soft drinks, juices, tea, coffee, and a selection of alcoholic beverages (with a valid liquor licence).
  • Can we provide our own alcohol?
    Yes, at certain venues you can supply your own alcohol. We are happy to work with you on logistics - such as quantities, chilling, handling, glassware, bar staff and recycling.
  • Do you offer bar service?
    Yes, we can provide bartenders to serve drinks throughout your event.
  • Can you help with event planning beyond catering?
    While we specialise in catering, we can also recommend trusted partners for event planning, décor, entertainment and photography.
  • Do you offer rental equipment?
    We may offer rentals for tables, chairs, and some serving equipment.
  • What kind of tableware and linens do you provide?
    We offer a variety of tableware and linen options for an additional fee.
  • Can you help decorate the catering area?
    We can provide basic table decorations like tablecloths and centrepieces. We recommend reaching out to an event stylist for more elaborate setups.
  • Do you take care of setup and clean up?
    Yes, we handle all setup, breakdown, and cleaning of the catering area, and further event handling needs on request.
  • What is your payment process?
    We typically require a deposit upon booking and the remaining balance due before the event.
  • What are your payment methods?
    We accept most major credit cards, bank transfers, and cash payments.
  • What is your cancellation policy?
    Our cancellation policy varies depending on the timeframe of cancellation. Please refer to our contract for details.
  • How can I get a quote?
